~Favorite Pose of the Day~
I know….I know I havn’t been posting in FOREVER. Mostly because I’ve been focusing on job hunting, which has more or less been a complete fail since the beginning. So needless to say I havn’t exactly been feeling stellar… But I decided to get up out of bed today and practice! Because the only thing that lifts my spirit anymore is yoga.
During my practice I was feeling frustrated of course. But as I closed in on the end of my practice I moved into a happy baby pose for one final hip opener. OMG it was insane! Happy baby was never that intense before. Idk what it was. But afterward my hips felt amazing…I love how forgiving yoga can be. After you make the mistake of leaving it for a while, it always welcomes you back with open arms.
On a side note, I noticed my hips have definitely become more open. In pigeon pose, my front leg’s thigh, the one thats bent, can finally touch the ground without any assistance. King pigeon still hurts but I’m breathing through it. Also Lizard pose has been improving since I can now keep my foot flat on the ground instead of having it balance on its side. In bound ankle pose I can bend deeper into the stretch with a straight back. Yay for progression! :D
